A new interactive LIVE pricing mechanic where a seller sets a floor price, target participant count, activity inventory, and duration. Shoppers pre-authorize payment and help lower the price in real time — larger drops earlier, smaller drops later — and are automatically charged at the final achieved price when the activity ends.

Seller controls floor price, size & duration
LIVE Price Cut is an interactive price-drop activity that lets shoppers work together to lower a product's price during LIVE. You set the floor price, target participant count, activity inventory, and duration.
Before the target participant count is reached, each shopper who joins the Price Cut lowers the current price once. Price drops are larger earlier in the activity and become smaller as the price approaches the floor.
Participating shoppers pay the final price reached when the activity ends. The activity does not need to reach your floor price for participating shoppers to complete their purchase.
If the floor price is reached and activity inventory remains, participating shoppers receive the floor price and other shoppers in the LIVE can also buy at the floor price until the activity ends or inventory runs out.
Shoppers pre-authorize payment when they participate. Participating shoppers are charged automatically at the final achieved price when the activity ends.
You set the floor price before the activity starts. The price will not be reduced below that floor price.
Choose a target that is realistic for your expected LIVE traffic and the amount of price movement available between the starting price and floor price. The target must also be lower than the activity inventory.
The current product design supports activity durations from 15 seconds to 20 minutes.
In Phase 1, eligible products must have one consistent selling price across SKUs. Your activity inventory also cannot exceed available product stock.
No. Group Price Cut cannot be active at the same time as LIVE Flash Sale or LIVE Group Deal.
No. Once shoppers have participated, the activity cannot be ended early. If no one has participated, you can end it.
The product design supports stacking with merchant subsidies, platform coupons, and platform product subsidies, subject to applicable campaign rules.
Products with sufficient inventory and meaningful promotional price flexibility are the strongest fit, especially when a visible price drop can create urgency or when you need to accelerate sell-through of selected inventory.
Group Price Cut turns the discount into a live progression. Instead of showing the full lower price immediately, shopper participation helps push the price down over time, creating visible progress and more reasons to participate during the LIVE.
Make it clear that joining the Price Cut is a purchase commitment: shoppers pre-authorize payment and participating shoppers will be charged at the final achieved price when the activity ends.
